Our occupational therapists (OTs) help individuals who have physical, developmental, or emotional difficulties that prevent them from performing the general activities of daily living. They instruct patients on the use of specialized rehabilitation techniques to improve their function in tasks such as eating, bathing, dressing, and basic household routines.

Speech Therapy
Speech language pathologists work to develop and restore the speech of individuals with communication disorders that are usually the result of traumas such as surgery or stroke. They also help retrain patients in breathing, swallowing, and muscle control.

Psychiatric Nursing
Our psychiatric RNs have received formal training in psychiatry. They provide counseling services to individuals who need professional assessment and guidance to properly manage a mental or emotional illness or disability. The psychiatric RN carefully monitors medication effectiveness and medication regime compliance.

Social Work Services
Our Ob/Gyn and Pediatric RNs will visit the patient within 24 hours from her release from the hospital. Education will include bathing and nursing the infant, evaluating safety measures for the home and recognizing signs and symptoms of infant illness. Obstetric visits will also include assessments for infections and proper diet.

Home Health Aid
Home Health Aids (HHAs) assist patients with activities of daily living such as getting in and out of bed, walking, bathing, toileting, and dressing. Some of our aides have received special training and are qualified to provide more complex services under an RN's supervision.
